Visiting Clubs Trio
Temagami Lions Club and the Hudson Lions Club pay the Charlton Englehart Lions a visit on the same meeting night. Northern clubs have significant distances to travel to visit other clubs. To make the distances more agreeable, some of these clubs have created “The Travelling Lion”. One club “kidnaps” a Lion and takes it back to their club. Each of the clubs has to visit the club holding the Lion and try to return it to their den.
Temagami Lions were in Charlton Englehart to free their Lion only to find out it was not there. The Hudson Lions were there to let Charlton Englehart Lions know that they were the ones holding the Lion. A visit and a great time was had by all – next stop, Hudson Lions club to retrieve their Lion.

Lion Training Day
Please note, this event has been cancelled!
There is a training session being put on in Kirkland Lake on Oct 13th starting at 9am at the Super 8 Motel. This session will cover everything from lions, becoming a lion, being a new member and all officers of a club.
The GLT team is coming to be the instructors. There has not been a session in our area in a very long time so I believe that every Lion will find something useful. There is a cost of $20 for the meal with the proceeds going to the newly formed Kirkland Lake Branch Club for their Administration account.
Please Call me at 705-642-3193 or 705-568-7334 by Tuesday October 9th with a head count so that proper arrangements can be made.
Hopefully I will see you there. Lion Bob Beaven, Zone Chair1520 Central
