It could be rain or snow, sleet or hail, but no one keeps a Lion from cleaning up the roads of their communities. The St. Joseph Island Lions like to help keep their neighbourhood clean and tidy, so they get together and clean up a section of roads from St. Joseph Bridge, Bridge Road to Hwy 548, Bridge Road to F&G Road and Bridge Rd to 15th sideroad.
The Lions, along with friends of Lions, collected bottles, cans and all kinds of garbage from the roadside as well as ditches. Luckily, there are no injuries to report from Lions rolling down into the ditch.
Lion Bill Martin lead the team on this event to make it a “clean sweep”.
