Restoule & District Christmas Parade of Lights

Another amazing Christmas Parade of Lights in Restoule.  The organizer of the parade this year was Lion Cheryl Hamilton who did a great job to make this a memorable evening.  The parade was sponsored by the Restoule & District Lions Club and the Restoule Legion.  The Restoule Volunteer Fire Department (who is made up of many of the Lions members) were there in full force to help out with the parade and giving gifts to kids.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed their time and creativity to make the floats so spectacular this year.  Even Santa (Lion Dennis Novosel) took time out from his busy schedule to deliver some early Christmas Cheer and Gifts to some of the attendees.

It was a great time had by everyone who attended

Restoule & District Lions Christmas Baskets

The Lions of Restoule & District spread a little holiday cheer to several families in the community.    The Lions provided Christmas baskets to families to make their Christmas a little brighter.  With the cost of everything from food to shelter going up, families are needing even more help these days.

Thank you to all who have supported this effort, together, we can light up the Holidays with Compassion and Care.

Restoule & District King & Queen Snow Run

Living in Northern Ontario, we have an abundance of snow each winter that we sometimes don’t know what to do with.  But some of the clubs hold various events to enjoy the snow in the community.  The Restoule & District Lions held their “King & Queen Snow Run” as a fundraiser and community event.  The trails were groomed by Lions and the South Shore Snowmobile Club to make sure they were in top shape for this day.  The Lions also had a silent auction, 50/50 draw, prize board and poker hands.  Many of the sponsors donated wonderful items for the prizes and the silent auction.  Dinners after the run were provided by East Side Mario’s to both the participants and spectators alike.  After dinner and the draws, the musical stylings of some of the Lions kept everyone in high energy.  This is an annual event that is enjoyed by everyone who attends.

From the Restoule Lions, “A Big Thank You to Everyone who came out for the King & Queen Snow Run – You made this event a Huge Success!  We couldn’t have done it without all of you.”
