Each year, the new District Governor and 1st Vice District Governor have a weekend at the dog school in Oakville. The Lions are given a tour of the facility along with learning about each type of guide dog. They get to see the dogs in action and being put through their training. The dogs are divided into 7 different including canine vision, hearing, diabetes alert, seizure response, service (mobility support), autism assistance, and facility support.
The A5 District Governor Lion Sam Khoury and 1st Vice District Governor Lion Bob Lachance visited the facility and as you can see, enjoyed cuddling with the puppies. A5 Lions clubs proudly support the Dog Guides every year and encourage all other clubs in MDA to support this great organization.
